Passages Art is a privately owed art business and has been incorporated since 1999. First located in the Beaches area of Toronto, it has been involved in all areas of the art market in Canada. It’s President, Alan Bryce, has been involved in the art market since the 1960’s and has been a serious art collector for over twenty years. While appreciating all aspects of the art market, his main interest has been in the art of Doris McCarthy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Doris McCarthy Gallery located at The University of Toronto at Scarborough. He has made his collection available for many exhibitions and has been a guest speaker at the Varley Gallery, the Parry Sound Gallery, the First Canadian Place Gallery and other venues. In 2006, he curated the show Doris McCarthy- 75 Years of Intuition” at the First Canadian Place Gallery. In 2007 he wrote the book “Art Smart- The Intelligent Guide to Investing in the Canadian Art Market”.
Besides the web presence, Passages Art offers a private art business, which helps individuals and corporations select art to enhance their lives and environment.
